Our
Mission

Our Mission.

Our churches mission is to pursue and be faithful to Christ as the Lord of His church; to “make disciples;” and “obey everything” to the Glory of God (Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 10:31).

“For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. (Romans 11:36)

That happens first of all in our gathered assembly through the preaching and teaching of Gods’ Word, along with lifting Him up in collective worship. It happens in the scattered ‘going’ as we live a life presented to God before those around us. And also, through partnering with solid, likeminded, national and international Christian ministries as an extension of our local fellowship.

This whole pursuit of God through Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit, is only knowable and possible through His divinely inspired Word, the Bible. And since God never changes, our mission and pursuit are inseparable from His Word. That is why our mission is closely tied to our motto: “bringing the changeless Word to a changing world.” We pray that God continues to grow us in grace as we strive to honor Him with that goal.
This mission, or pursuit of God, begins with Faith. Our church name was chosen based on the first and greatest need of every man, woman, and understanding child - to have the assurance of faith in Christ Jesus who died as a substitute payment for the sins of all those who believe in Him alone. We cannot stress enough the importance of starting with salvation in Christ.

Jesus Himself said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6). And Paul writes in Romans 4:7-8 - “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.” That happens through saving faith.

We also desire to help people understand the Bible and what God has to say about this faith and our growing in obedience and Christlikeness. It is upon these two main pillars that we have founded the fellowship we call 'Faith Bible Church.'

Our mission cannot be fully or effectively pursued without every believer ‘plugging into’ the ministry of the local church so that their God-given spiritual giftedness can be utilized to further the mission. The church is less than it should be when you are ‘missing in action.’
